When using a Radioset you can show the result either as a ticked checkbox and/or a text field

So with this example:

"Pick A Colour"

Red
Green
Yellow

Assuming the PDF field name Motivity generates for this question is "qa_pick_a_colour" then adding a textbox with name qa_pick_a_colour on your PDF would give you the text answer you choose from the list

If you add a checkbox onto the PDF and call it qa_pick_a_colour#0  in the above example this would get ticked when you pick red.

If using a dropdown it works exactly the same way with PDF field names.

That way you just pick from a list instead.

Text and Checkbox PDF fields for the dropdown follow the same convention.

The other feature you can do with dropdowns is allow you to fill in an extra answer if it's not on the pre-set list.

When setting up the question on the properties page you could add an option called 'Other'   and in the reason box put the word 'Specify'

On the phone if you then pick Other it will pop up an additional text box with the text 'Specify'

The normal text PDF field will only have the word 'other' in it.

If you add _value on the end then it will show you either the answer you picked from the preset list OR if you typed one in it shows that instead.
